Fun times in school!

We so LOVE the big blocks!  Look at the pictures below to see what some of us built!

Today we made volcanoes outside.  We had to "build" our volcanoes first.  Then we put a container in the middle.  Mrs. Wozniak and Mrs. Whitaker then added some baking soda to our container.  The final step was THE BEST.  We each took turns pouring vinegar (with red food coloring) into the container to see it "EXPLODE!"
Mrs. Whitaker and Mrs. Wozniak showed us how to do everything first.

As you can see, our "EXPLOSIONS" were all different.  We cannot wait to do this again on a warmer day!

Our letter this week was "V."  Some of our classmates brought in some neat items for "Show and Tell."

Slumber Party Day

We had so much fun wearing our pajamas to school.  We had a regular early morning and then went to Fellowship Hall to watch a movie and eat popcorn and cookies.  We had SO MUCH FUN!!!

We hope that we get to have another Slumber Party Day!

Happy New Year!

We've had a very busy week getting back to "normal" in our classroom by not making ornaments.  Although we had so much fun in December, it is also nice to be back to a little bit of a routine.  Ms. Caitlin came to visit us for music.  She is so much fun and teaches us really neat songs!

For "Show and Tell'' this week, the children brought their favorite Christmas gift (well at least the one that would fit in his/her cubby).  It was so much fun to see each child's face light up when he/she was telling us about their chosen gift.

We ended our week by making quesadillas.  YUM! YUM!
